Description:
Environmental and Employee Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the environment (including the broader community impacted by environmental hazards) and employees including: Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments. Investigating accidents and environmental incidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence. Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee heath and safety. Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization.
An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

We are hiring a health, safety, environment & sustainability (HSE) specialist with special competence within BAS-P and BAS-U to become part of our HSE-team at Power Transformers in Ludvika, Sweden.
As an HSE Specialist at Power Transformers, your main responsibility will be to ensure support to our building projects that they are compliant with all internal and external policies and regulations. You will also play a role in developing and implementing health, safety and environmental programs to support initiatives within the company, and you will be the driver to report on progress and performance.

Your responsibilities
BAS-P
- As a BAS-P you will coordinate the work environment work during planning and design.
- As a BAS-P administrator, you will also follow up on the designers’ work environment work to ensure that they actually take the work environment into account in their solutions.
- Your task is to ensure that the designers prevent the work environment risks that are the consequence of their choices, for example the choice of design, constructions, installations, construction products and materials that are included in the building or facility.
- As a BAS-U you shall coordinate and control the work of contractors so that work environment risks that may arise on the construction or construction site are prevented.
- Your tasks as a BAS-U administrator are therefore about working to ensure that the common work environment on the construction site is safe.
- Organize the coordination of the contractors’ work
- Ensure that those who will work on the construction site receive an introduction to work environment work
- Ensure that control is carried out to ensure that the contractors work safely.
- This means that you need to participate in the planning of production.
EXPLANATION ON LEVELS:
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

You have a university degree in bachelor or master´s, preferably within health and safety, or related field.
Background working with health and safety topics.
Competence and knowledge in Swedish work environmental legislation is a must.
Knowledge of the ISO 45001:2015, experience from Bas P/Bas U, Safety by design including experience of improvement work within health and safety is required.
Knowledge of TIA.
Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish and English is mandatory.

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
The assignment is Onsite.
