Övergripande uppdragsbeskrivning
Description:
Power systems engineering includes the planning, design, development, testing, installation, and co-ordination of related activities involving HV electrical systems and the main components. It also co-ordinates activities internally and with other groups to effectively accomplish objectives requiring knowledge of associated functions and related engineering fields. Use computers and selected programs for such matters as preparing reports and conducting analyses, e.g., cable calculations.
Tasks and qualifications required extended beyond Senior and Principal Engineer above.
In addition, the below minimum requirements of education and experience:
• Well documented (10+ years) experience in relevant Engineering field
• On a national level unique competence relevant to the special q qualifications and requirements for the assignment
• Other factors which can qualify is a post-graduate degree (Doctor degree) in a relevant area or other documented credentials.
Additional Hiring Information for Supplier:
The candidate is expected to present a wide experience in protection and control systems for MV/HV AC substations, and shall be able to take on the role as AC Protection and Control Lead Engineer for the AC part of HVDC stations.
Typical competency requirements are:
- Good understanding of relay protection schemes – including protection, control.
- Knowledge in various brands of protective relays (such as Hitachi, ABB, Siemens, GE)
- General knowhow in protection and control panel design.
- Experience from power systems studies and grid codes.
- Good understanding of configurations and testing requirements for protection systems.
- Experience from reading technical specifications and managing sub-suppliers.
- Experience from the UK market and customers like NG and SSE is meritorious.
costing and delivery of AC protection and control solutions in tender work as well as in
execution projects. Detailed design and manufacturing will be sourced to sub-suppliers.
Typical main tasks are:
- Translate customer specifications and protection schemes into conceptual design.
- Evaluate sub-supplier quotes based on the specified requirements and future design.
- Continuously monitor the design and manufacturing process.
- Review of detailed protection panel design, including interfaces to main components.
- Ensure compatibility between functional requirements, panel design and relay.
- Review suppliers test program and supervise Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
IMPORTANT NOTES:
– HM would consider candidates from Ludvika and Gothenburg.
– Candidate is expected to work at least 2 days at the office and 3 remote.
– Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
– Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
– Language: Consultant must speak English (Proficient)
EXPLANATION ON LEVELS:
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
The assignment is possible virtual/remote WITHIN SWEDEN.
