Description:
Hardware/Software Configuration includes the analysis, recommendation, introduction and support of various hardware/software configurations, analyses of projected business requirements and related costs versus benefits. Develop, maintain, control, audit, analyse and manage a variety of information systems. Formulate and define system scope and objectives, devise strategies, develop or modify procedures, and resolve complex problems and related issues.
Independently perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices, towards set goals. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses, advanced technical studies and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations as well as potentially legal and other agency requirements.
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• Minimum six (6) years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or
• Another technical degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language
We are looking for a network technician to work with the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of network solutions. This role will be an important part of delivering secure and reliable communications solutions for control and monitoring systems in critical infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team, on-site and project organization, and ensure that network solutions function both in a lab environment and in real operations.
Responsibilities:
- Configuration and maintenance of network equipment (primarily Cisco and Fortinet)
- Design and implementation of network solutions for industrial systems.
- Troubleshooting network issues in lab, workshop, and site environments.
- Participation in testing, verification, and commissioning.
- Documentation of network design and configurations.
- Collaboration with automation, IT security, and systems engineers.
- Network technology, preferably within industrial or critical systems.
- Practical experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet environments.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, and firewalls.
- Ability to work in a structured way in technical environments.
- Good communication skills in Swedish or English.
Meritorious:
- Certifications in Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) and/or Fortinet (NSE).
- Experience with networks in OT environments, industrial networks, and control systems.
- Experience from the energy sector or industrial automation.
- Experience with IT security in industrial networks.
The position involves work-related travel in other EU/EEA countries, which makes it advantageous if you are an EU/EEA citizen.
The workplace will be on site in our factory in Ludvika, Dalarnas län. Please do not submit candidates who cannot commit to 4/5 days on site in Ludvika.
Initial interview via TEAMS, Potentially 2 stages.
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
The assignment is Onsite.
