Description:
R&D Software development consists of requirement management, software design, Design reviews and functional verification. Besides meeting the functional requirements non-functional requirements such as cost, quality and time target shall be met. Work processes and associated tools are provided and the expectation is that processes are followed and provided tools are used unless other agreements are made.
Under general guidance of supervisor or more experienced engineer, perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices. Pursue initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase customer satisfaction or full fill legal or other agency requirements.
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• 2-6 years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or
• Another technical degree with 10-15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language

For our research and development team at Transformers we are looking for a Back-end Developer for a project to build a control unit for automated imaging and image processing for a quality control process in manufacturing. You will join our team at Technology Center in Ludvika.
Your responsibilities:
The assignment includes integration of a system with existing hardware on machines and achieving a synchronization of large image data streams with machine movements via PLCs. You will work with setting up data stream pipelines and building non-relational databases to manage storage and processing of data.
You will work closely together with an experienced embedded developer who you will support with your skills helping out with the construction of the control logic of the system and communication / integration of different system modules.
Your background:
- At least 3-5 years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in engineering.
- Or another technical degree with +5 years of work experience within relevant field.
- Working command of the English language.
- Some knowledge in AI and ML is a bonus.
Practical information about the position:
This contract is for 6 months and some presence will be at the Hitachi Energy factory in Ludvika, Sweden.
Interviews – via Teams.
Remote work – yes with travel to site.

If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
The assignment is possible virtual/remote WITHIN SWEDEN – with travel to site.
