Description:
Relay Protection Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Relay Protection Specialist to support multiple ongoing projects within our Control & Protection Engineering team. You will provide expert support to ensure high quality protection soltions for substations in the transmission and distribution grid.
Additional Hiring Information for Supplier:
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop relay protection solutions (HE, GE, Siemens).
• Perform protection settings and selectivity studies.
• Review drawings, signal lists, and technical documentation.
• Support project managers, test leads, and installation teams.
• Participate in FAT/SAT and assist troubleshooting in delivery projects.
Consultant Profile:
• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in relay protection design, commissioning, or troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of power system behavior and protection principles.
• Familiarity with IED platforms (ABB/Hitachi Energy, Siemens, Schneider).
• Knowledge of SvK (Svenska kraftnät) and Vattenfall standards, processes, and technical require-ments is highly valuable.
• Able to work independently and deliver within a project driven environment.
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish.
EXPLANATION ON LEVELS:
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
Some remote work WITHIN SWEDEN may be possible, but Onsite preferred.
