We are now looking for a SE_Electrical Engineering – Senior Engineer (Level 3) to Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Landskrona.

Description:
Electrical/Electronic Engineering encompasses the planning, design, development, testing, installation, and co-ordination of related activities involving electrical/electronic components and systems, including automation. It also co-ordinates activities internally and with other groups to effectively accomplish objectives requiring knowledge of associated functions and related engineering fields. Use computers and selected programs for such matters as preparing reports and conducting analyses.

Independently perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices, towards set goals. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses, advanced technical studies and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations as well as potentially legal and other agency requirements.

Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• Minimum six (6) years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or
• Another technical degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language.

1. Role Description
Titel:
Senior Automation Engineer.

Hybrid: Not allowed, 100% on site (with some flexibility up to 1 day a week depending on workload).

The senior automation engineer will be focusing on the system design for the cooling systems control. This role re-quires a very thorough understanding of control logic and a high technical interest as well as high social skills and leadership. The senior automation engineer will take the customer requirements and design the control solutions accordingly. The senior engineer’s main function is to hold together the complete function of the control system by select the correct components and making sure the design standard is upheld to Hitachi standards.
The senior automation engineer creates the structure or concept for which the programing is based. Depending on the size of the project the senior automation engineer may also be the one to create the entire program or in bigger projects have a more holistic view and only doing parts of the program and directing the overall automation duties.
Automation encompasses control systems for project delivery, product development and the processes in the manu-facturing plant.

2. Background
• Level 3 = Minimum six (6) years of work experience within the relevant field and a YH/KY, bachelor’s or mas-ter’s degree, or another technical degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• PLC/DCS/RTU programing and HMI design for process controls, machines, or the manufacturing industry.
• Industrial networks and field bus.
• Relevant industry backgrounds – Machine manufacturers, Process plants, Treatment plants and water plants.
• Used to working in project with customer specific solutions.
• Used to making design from scratch and taking a concept in to reality.
• Familiar with
o Fully redundant control solutions (S2, R1 or R2).
o all IEC 61131-3 languages.
o IEC61439.
o Machine directive 2006/42/EC.
o CE.
• Merit:
o IT networks,
o Cybersecurity
o Gate model. Agile
o SQL, Visual Basic (Excel), Python

NOT NEEDED: Software engineers/Designers. PCB Designers.

3. Responsibility

• Control design according to customer requirements. Selection and evaluation of control components and solutions.
• Creation and maintaining quality documentation, test protocols, functional descriptions, UDMLs etc.
• Customer support in control errors at site.
• PLC/DCS programing and Operation panel design (Not SCADA only service HMI).
o ABB AC500, Siemens 1500H/400H, Beckhoff, B&R Automation.
• Industrial fieldbus network (IEC61850, ModBus RTU / ModBus TCP IP, Profibus, ProfiNet, CanOpen).
• Participation of internal testing.
• Participation in FAT and SAT.
• Contact with customer is required, travel may be required.

• Relaying/coordination solutions and keeping together projects with the team and future solutions.
