Description:
A PLM Project manager (PLM PM) manages the overall planning and coordination of targeted business change working closely together with capability responsible and development team members. PLM PM has a strong skillset to coordinate e.g. agile application development and business implementation activities according to the business demand.
Product Lifecycle Management changes focus on and include high-level strategy, integration, and technical blueprints, mapping business process needs (from Engineering, Manufacturing, SCM), working with IT, and defining detailed requirements, workflows, and ensuring PLM solutions like Teamcenter effectively support product development processes from the idea to retirement. Essentially PM works with the Capability responsible, Business Analysts, Architects and Developers to get the solution designs and required solutions developed, and implemented, including integrations with other systems (e.g., ERP, CAD).
Lead large, complex PLM business implementation projects involving multiple domains/ functions (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, service etc.). Define project governance, manage budget, project timelines & risks, and ensure successful business implementation of PLM capabilities across functions. Work with & guide senior business leaders on shaping PLM strategy execution and driving organizational change management.
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• 8+ years of professional experience, with extensive experience in implementing large-scale PLM transformation programs
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, information technology, business management or related field
• Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project). Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is highly desired.
• Solid exposure to one or more PLM platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault Systems 3DEXPERIENCE, Aras, etc. ) and their integration with enterprise applications (ERP, MES etc.)
• Working command of the English language. Swedish language proficiency is a plus.

PLM Modularisation Lead
Position Overview
HVDC is accelerating its journey towards a more product-oriented and modularized way of working to increase competitiveness, reduce lead times, improve quality, and enable scalable growth. We are looking for an experienced Modularization Lead to drive the development and deployment of modular product architecture across our HVDC portfolio.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, engineering, operations, supply chain, and digitalization teams to define, govern, and implement modularization principles and practices. You will play a key role in enabling product reuse, configuration efficiency, standardization, and digital thread capabilities across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Modularization work in collaboration with product management and PLM Program and drive the transformation towards a modular product architecture.
• Define and maintain modularization strategies, principles, governance, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify reusable modules, platforms, and product building blocks.
• Drive standardization efforts across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering domains.
• Work closely with PLM, requirements engineering, product structure, and configuration management teams.
• Support the development of product platforms enabling reuse across projects and market segments.
• Facilitate workshops and alignment activities involving global stakeholders.
• Define and monitor KPIs measuring modularization maturity, reuse levels, engineering efficiency, and business value.
• Support digitalization initiatives by ensuring modularization concepts are reflected in PLM, requirements management, and engineering tools.
• Act as subject matter expert and coach within modular architecture and systems engineering practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• MSc or BSc degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Several years of experience in complex product development environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering processes, configuration management, and product lifecycle management (PLM).
• Experience from industrial manufacturing, energy, automation, transportation, aerospace, or comparable industries.
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across business functions and geographies.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working in global and multicultural organizations.
Important: Proven experience working with product architecture, modularization, platform development, or systems engineering. This is a senior role.
Swedish not a must but beneficial.
Remote work: hybrid but local to Ludvika / Västerås (office presence depending on the work, attendance in workshops)
