Description:
Ensures that engineering is developed with complete information – all multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development. Evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks for conventional projects with moderately complex features.
• Acts as a design authority for engineering deliverables in all applicable engineering disciplines. May act as design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completes engineering assignments for that discipline.
• Collaborates on project installation, commissioning and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Provides technical support to commissioning and start-up activities. • Creates project engineering proposals through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates. Perform engineering risk analysis before submitting proposals.
• Leads, supervises and coordinates teams in all disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects of medium complexity. Leads single or multi-discipline engineering teams with 15-50 resources.
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• Minimum six (6) years’ experience managing projects of different size, complexity, and contractual types.
• Bachelor’s Degree or similar in engineering with domain experience in HITACHI ENERGY business, or
• Another technical degree with 10-15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Communicate fluent in English language

We are looking for a Project Management Engineer to join our substations PME team in Västerås, Sweden.
As Project Management Engineer (lead engineer) you play an important role in our substation projects. This means leading the engineering work in our customer projects, normally electric power substations installations in the range from 10-400kV
Your Responsibilities:
• Lead and drive the project engineering team to deliver results in accordance with contractual agreements, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments.
• Manage the engineering related coordination with customer, sub-supplier and internal/external partners.
• Plan and manage engineering resources by following the governance procedure of Hitachi Energy.
• Manage the communications with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify the risk & opportunity, make contributions to the continuous improvement works.
Your background:
• A bachelor’s degree or above in the area of electrical or mechanical engineering.
• At least 10 years professional experience in substation 10-400kV engineering or projects.
• Experience from GIS (Gas insulated substation) projects.
• Experience from substation tenders is an advantage.
• Experience from site works is an advantage.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike.
• Need to be able to work from office in Västerås and at site in Stockholm area, Sweden.
• Swedish citizen (due to security checked projects).
EXPLANATION ON LEVELS:
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
The assignment is Onsite.
