Background – Why a New Project Manager Is Needed
NCC is entering the critical final phase of its BizTalk End‑of‑Life (EOL) project. The BizTalk platform is approaching its technical end‑of‑life, creating strict deadlines, heightened security and compliance risks, and a non‑negotiable need for timely delivery.
The BizTalk EOL project faces several delivery challenges that the incoming Project Manager must be able to handle effectively:
Alignment of priorities, responsibilities, and timelines needs strong governance and clear structures.
Variability in work practices across teams demands someone who can drive consistently.
High Dependency Chain Across Systems
Changes must be synchronized across multiple applications, data flows, and environments.
The PM must manage cross‑system impacts, ensure readiness, and prevent bottlenecks.
Missing the deadline would introduce operational, security, and financial risk.
This requires a PM who can operate assertively in high‑pressure environments.
The project requires robust governance, including:
Daily steering
- Clear progress tracking
- Risk and issue management
- Escalation routines
- Definition of critical path and dependency mapping
- The PM must bring order, clarity, and predictability to the delivery.
Capgemini plays a critical role in the solution design, testing, and delivery.
The PM must ensure a structured and transparent collaboration model, with clear expectations and follow‑up.
Tight timelines mean details matter.
The PM must manage both strategic coordination and hands‑on operational follow‑up.
Lead with urgency while keeping communication sharp and stakeholder alignment strong.
The recruited Project Manager will:
- Lead the BizTalk EOL project through completion
- Establish and enforce structure, routines, and governance
- Coordinate internal teams and the Capgemini delivery organization
- Manage dependencies, risks, and the critical path
- Drive communication and decision‑making across stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with the EOL and licensing deadlines
- Maintain delivery pace and clarity under time pressure
In this assignment, NCC may, conduct a background check on the proposed consultant.
Skallkrav
Senior experience in IT transformation, migration, or decommissioning projects
Background in multi‑vendor environments (Capgemini experience beneficial)
Proven ability to deliver under strict deadlines and high complexity
Highly structured with strong governance and planning ability
Excellent cross‑team coordination and communication skills
Strong risk management and escalation abilities
Capable of quickly establishing delivery routines and project clarity
Fluent in english as the project have multinational team members and Vendor
Good knowledge in; MS Project Pro / Online, DevOps tool
Good knowledge in Project Model : PPS
Good knowledge of BizTalk Platform & Integration Literacy (PM-level)
(Not a developer role, but must understand the ecosystem to manage it effectively.)
Working understanding of:
BizTalk architecture (adapters, orchestrations, maps, ports, message flows).
Working understanding of:
Integration types (file transfers, APIs, SOAP/WCF, SQL, SFTP/FTP, MSMQ).
Migration options: side‑by‑side vs in‑place upgrades.
Working understanding of:
Impact of SQL/Windows OS/EOL timelines on migration strategy.
Working understanding of:
Ability to challenge vendors on technical decisions, design gaps, and environment readiness.
Working understanding of:
Ability to challenge vendors on technical decisions, design gaps, and environment readiness.
Understanding of integration platforms and IT infrastructure landscapes
Börkrav
Experience running multi-wave UAT or phased delivery
Experience with projects that overlap with large transformation programs
Experience coordinating platform build activities in Azure (VM, networking, firewall/IP requirements, service accounts).
Understanding of CI/CD deployment flows for BizTalk
