Test automation developer
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases that ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance automation coverage, streamline testing processes, and support continuous integration and delivery in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and robust test automation frameworks.
- Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Execute test strategies, plans, and cases using automation tools to optimize the software testing lifecycle.
- Review system designs and architecture to create effective automation test plans and identify potential risks or limitations.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality releases.
- Perform exploratory testing and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve test processes, tools, and automation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in quality assurance for web-based and desktop applications.
- Proven expertise in test automation using tools such as Selenium, Power Automate, SOAPUI, Cypress, or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or TypeScript.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, testing strategies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with PLM systems such as Siemens Teamcenter, NX, or Polarion is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
- Exposure to DevOps environments and agile development methodologies.
NOTE:
- Assignment can be extended. Earlier start also possible.
- Remote work: onsite 3 days a week (Ludvika, Västerås or Göteborg), can be discussed on individual basis.
- Swedish not mandatory.

Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• 3-5 years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree,
• Another IT degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language.

Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
Some remote work WITHIN SWEDEN may be possible, but Onsite preferred.
