Description:
Power systems engineering includes the planning, design, development, testing, installation, and co-ordination of related activities involving HV electrical systems and the main components. It also co-ordinates activities internally and with other groups to effectively accomplish objectives requiring knowledge of associated functions and related engineering fields. Use computers and selected programs for such matters as preparing reports and conducting analyses, e.g., cable calculations.
Independently perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices, towards set goals. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses, advanced technical studies and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations as well as potentially legal and other agency requirements.
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• Minimum six (6) years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or
• Another technical degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language

Responsibilities:
– To support other engineers in our system deliveries to customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.
– Collaborate with our GMS experts to configure and customize our optimization engine to meet the customer requirements.
– Work closely with customers to develop efficient and robust workflow integrations between SCADA/EMS/GMS systems and other IT/OT systems, leveraging state-of-the-art interface and integration technologies.
– Create and execute test plans and procedures with customers to ensure the system meets contractual requirements.
– Coordinate and efficiently resolve technical problems reported by customers in collaboration with our technical team.

Qualifications:
– Master’s (or higher) degree in mathematics, electrical engineering, or computer science.
– Basic understanding of electric power generation and transmission networks.
– Basic understanding of SCADA systems.
– Previous experience in the SCADA/GMS systems business.
– Solid understanding of industrial scale optimization.
– Previous experience with commercial solvers such as CPLEX.
– Proficiency in modeling languages such as AMPL.
– Willingness to travel and work at our customer locations.
– Strong analytical and communication skills, with an eagerness to thrive in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
– Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Remote work: 2-3 days/week.

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
Some remote work WITHIN SWEDEN may be possible, but Onsite preferred.
